If 24 hours is all that you have in Buffalo, then you need to really speed up. You can half a day or even full day in the breathtaking Niagara Falls in itself. Beside, there is an array of thigs to do, see and entertainment in Buffalo. The city can be associated as a paradise for wine aficionados, affordable food scene, art aficionados, history buffs and outdoor nuts. Majestic Fall - Niagara Falls State Park

Top in your must-visit list is by all means the mighty Niagara Falls, which need no introduction as it is known to world as one of the most awe-inspiring natural wonders. It is not located too far from Buffalo, about twenty miles north of Buffalo, an hour long drive. The Niagara Falls State Park also boasts to be the oldest state park in America and draw hoards of visitors throughout the year to view over 700,000 gallons rush over the cliff face in 20 to 60mph. The park has its American side and the Canadian side of Niagara Falls and you can choose to view the fall via a helicopter ride or Maid of the Mist boat tour. More to the park's highlights include Three Sisters Island, Goat Island, Prospect Point, visitor's center, Luna Island at Bridal Falls, an observation tower and the Niagara Falls Discovery Center. Head to Niagara Gorge Discovery Center that is located across from the falls. The museum showcases facts about Niagara Gorge's geologic history, dating back more than 400 million years and you will also get to learn about the 12,000-year history of the Niagara Falls. Next up is the Old Fort Niagara that is nestled on the tip of Niagara River. This historic site is the oldest structure on the grounds that takes you back to history. Dig deeper and you'll explore the 18th and early 19th centuries life on the Niagara Frontier. Guided tours are available. It opens daily from 9am to 5 or 7 pm.

Forest Lawn

Another immaculately landscaped garden you can stop by is Forest Lawn. From paying tribute to significant American dignitaries who have been laid to rest here to a peaceful exploration of the ponds, lawns and gardens - you'll find out there is lots the cemetary offers. To completely explore the place, participate in a guided tour - two hour walking tour or a 1.5- to 2 hour trolley tour. The cemetery welcomes visitors from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. during spring and summer seasons and in the fall and winter times from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Albright-Knox Art Gallery at 2:30 PM

This is the place to marvel art at its best. As you browse around, you will come across some of the finest cluster of sculptures and paintings, ranging from post-war American and European art to modern art.  Not only that, there are collections from 20s and 30s that exhibit  Cubism, Constructivism and Surrealism. You can avail the guided tour, that takes place from Thursday to Sunday. The gallery also encompasses a restaurant and gift shops. Take your adventure to new heights, on the 28th floor of Buffalo City Hall. From its observation deck you can soak the spectacular 360 degree city vistas. When it comes to architecture, the building stands out of the rest. You can also see the cityscape from its over 1500 windows. An hour long guided tour is available every Sunday afternoon.
